comocamps is a local directory for Columbia, MO families. We keep data collection minimal and we don't sell personal information. This page explains what we collect and why.
What we collect
Browsing comocamps requires no account. We collect an email address only when you choose to subscribe to the camp guide, and basic contact details if you submit a camp or a message. We may store an optional zip code to tailor the newsletter.
Email & newsletter
Newsletter sign-ups are managed through our email provider (Brevo). You can unsubscribe from any email at any time; doing so removes you from that list.
Analytics & cookies
We use Plausible Analytics — a cookieless, privacy-respecting service that reports aggregate, anonymous page traffic. It does not track you across sites or build a profile. Favorites you save are stored in your own browser (localStorage) and never leave your device.
Third parties & forms
Camp detail pages may embed a Google Maps location preview; loading it shares your IP address and request with Google under their privacy policy. Provider and feedback forms are processed by Netlify Forms and, if you opt in to email, Brevo. We share your information only with these processors to run the service — we never sell it.
Children
comocamps is a resource for parents and providers and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information, email hello@comocamps.com and we will delete it.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe from any email at any time, and you can request access to or deletion of your information by emailing hello@comocamps.com.
